Mia Lee

Founder & CEO

Mia is greatly passionate about education and strives to make learning resources more equitable. She founded LingoX with the goal of constructing an inclusive, welcoming environment for all students to pursue their linguistic passions, background notwithstanding. In her free time, Mia enjoys reading, playing the piano, and traveling to new places. She is always happy to meet new people and chat about LingoX!

Eric Gao

Chief Operating Officer

Eric is a junior at Stanford studying economics and mathematics. He is interested in understanding human decision-making and how institutions should be shaped in response to achieve societal objectives. Eric is also passionate about economics education, making interesting concepts beyond “Econ 1” accessible.

Hannah Choi

Marketing Officer

Coming from a multicultural background, Hannah values learning about different cultures and languages and sharing it with others. Through LingoX, she hopes to encourage and empower other students through language education and to be passionate about their cultures. During her free time, Hannah enjoys drawing, going to the beach, and playing tennis.

Sarea Leung

Development Officer

Sarea's passion for language learning and communication is driven by her fluency in four languages, which inspires her creativity and deepens her understanding of the world around her. Growing up surrounded by diverse cultures, she recognizes the transformative power of language in supporting individuals and fostering connections across communities. At LingoX, she hopes to promote equality through language education, inviting more students to appreciate cultural and linguistic diversity as well. In her free time, Sarea enjoys journaling and dancing, and you will also often find her immersing herself in different cultures through watching movies!

Harry Chen

Chief Technology Officer

Growing up in China and spending his first seven years of K-12 education in a non-English environment, Harry recognizes that for all English learners to unleash their full potential, creating an inclusive community with equitable access to quality education is essential. Having been exploring computer science for many years, Harry hopes to connect people in different regions around the world with the help of technology and pursue the goals of LingoX. Harry also plays tennis and likes to code while cooking.

Tyler Truong

Assistant Technology Officer

Tyler, being the older of two siblings, finds tremendous value in the power of education as a means to open up doors of possibility and reshape the world. As a part of LingoX, he hopes to make English education accessible to ALL. Aside from his passion for education, Tyler’s identity stands as a volleyball player and a photographer who would not hesitate to hang out and meet new friends whenever the opportunity arises.

Kevin Chu

Assistant Technology Officer

Having lived in multiple different countries, Kevin realizes the need for students around the world to have an accessible education to help break language barriers. He is interested in computer science, and hopes to use it to benefit the global community. In his free time, Kevin enjoys music production, playing tennis, and sleeping

Tei Mercedes

Public Relations Officer

Tei, a multiracial person who has lived in four different countries and speaks four languages fluently, has a steadfast love for linguistic diversity. Her zeal is firmly anchored in multiculturalism and the appreciation of difference as ideals. Tei is convinced that languages act as bridges, opening up doors to new opportunities while also establishing close relationships between people. She finds the process of learning a language to be beautiful as well. As an executive board member of LingoX, she hopes to share her passion and make it accessible for all. She enjoys programming and playing the piano in her free time.

Safa Ibrahim

Public Relations Officer

Being a first-generation immigrant from Kenya has exposed Safa to a multitude of different languages and cultures and how valuable education access can be in assisting to break language barriers. She hopes to achieve this goal at LingoX. Safa is interested in pharmacy and hopes to use medicine to give back to underprivileged communities around the world. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, playing tennis, and volunteering.
